Steve over at carrypad.com just posted some first thoughts about the RaonDigital Vega. His quick review of the device gave it overall good remarks.
Also Hugo at ubertablet made an unboxing video of the Vega which shows off more of the features as well.
So for more info go check out what they both have to say.

[update: 4.25 hours battery life under load. Report here.] Finally, as if they were waiting for Hugo to air his unboxing video, the German customs people released my Vega today and I’ve just finished the first round of photography and three or four hours playing with it. My first opinions are good to very good. Way better than I expected. As I suggested in the previous Vega post, this is going to make a great home/car PC. I was shocked at how small it was when I opened it up. The […]

JKontherun has published a couple of posts over the last few days about the Samsung Q1 SSD. SSD stands for “solid state disk”. Its a non-spinning memory disk that, although is expensive, reduces power requirements and brings speed improvements to the standard Q1. For good overview, see the ‘Quick Impressions’ post. JK is getting over 3 hours from his battery under normal usage which is great. There’s a battery life test result here too which shows he’s getting about 15% more battery life under full load conditions. Replacing the standard disk […]

I’ve just got round to watching the video review of the Vega ultra portable PC from Raon Digital that Hugo Ortega did. It’s a great video that covers the unboxing, device basics, first impressions and the button arrangement. Hugo seems very impressed with the screen quality too. I should be getting mine in the next 24 hours so it will be nice to compare notes with Hugo. Already, we’ve come to the conclusion that this makes a great device for the home and car but is not perfect for business use […]

GottabeMobile.com posted a video last week of the TabletKiosk eo i7210 and it is a pretty good showing of the device being unboxed and a quick run through of all of the components.
Dennis Rice says this is the first in a series of videos planned for the device so more info will be coming our way soon.
If you are curious about this device definitely check out the video to see what features the i7210 has built in.

One of our forum members zemac sent us some info last week saying that he had seen news stating that the Asus R2H was available for purchase online.
And according to a forum post over at origamiproject.com a user named ZhuBaJie has just received one.
He was able to pick his up from mycom.nl for € 699.00 which is a pretty good deal.
The device was packaged with a foldable keyboard and carrying case though it seems the dutch version doesn’t have bluetooth or a built in camera and the US version has been reported to have at least a camera
There are also some good pics of the device unboxing here
Hopefully there will be more info coming out about this device over the next couple weeks as they become more widely available.

Mr Lucky of Holland has just posted his R2H unboxing photos over at Origamiproject.com. This is a Dutch version of the R2H with no camera and no Bluetooth (strange) but a competitive price of 699 Euro. (see this journal entry for more info.) Despite a raft of emails sent to various ASUS contacts, there’s been no confirmation that this is actually available yet. According to Mr Lucky (AKA Marcel.) mycom had 50 of these in stock and now they’ve all gone (unless ASUS have had a word!) ASUS. I know […]
