Over the last few hours I’ve been preparing an article about the ‘best’ ultra mobile PC for a given customer profile. On my shortlist for my chosen customer was the Q1 and the v7110.
Ctitanic has both the v7110 and Q1 and he’s just posted a very nice review about his new Q1 at UMPCBuzz. He doesn’t choose a winner because as he says, every user has a different set of requirements. It doesn’t help anyone to make sweeping statements about the best UMPC.
If you’re considering a UMPC, you really need to take a look at this article. I haven’t seen many articles from people that own more than one ultra mobile PC so this is a rare chance to get a very balanced and informed opinion on the differences between the two UMPCs. There’s plenty of detail, some test results and a good set of pics.
Who’s going to be the first to do a three-ultra mobile PC comparison review?
Steve / Chippy.
Steve:
One quick thought about the comparison of different UMPCs. Different distributors have different profiles of their users. I was at the Tablet Kiosk event in Anaheim last night, speaking to their director of marketing. It seems that TK is not really interested in retail sales and more focused on specific verticals and VARs. For someone like me, an executive that travels alot, I need the support of a retail network since I won’t have a VAR watching out for me.
