Via the Pepperpad forums, someone has put me on to this great bit of Web2.0 work. Its an Ajax (that’s virtual applications inside a browser window to you and me.) multi-protocol instant messenger. A bit like Gaim/Trillian inside a browser window.
It has been around for over a year now (Techchrunch talk about it here. I’m so 2005!) and it seems stable and well supported. Its certainly got a big user base now.
You won’t get a lot of the bells and whistles that the dedicated clients give you and If you can swallow the security risk (you effectively hand over your IM passwords to a third party) then its one more application you can uninstall from your ultra mobile PC to free up memory and disk space.
I’m adding it to my Pepperpad bookmarks as another browser based application.
