It looks like everything is ready with Vista on the ASUS R2H. Upgrade program in place, drivers working and there’s even complete HID support which is important for enabling many many of the tablet features in Vista. (Some detail here at UltraMobilePCTips)
So I think its time to declare the ASUS R2H the first Vistagami device. The ASUS was already a fantastic package but with a free Vista upgrade its going to be hard to beat. Take a look: (Video with permission of JKK who has reported this success.)
Josh Bancroft and Joe of Onlyultra mobile PC have also reported success with Vista. When the Origami Experience is fitted into the picture, its going to get even better. Top marks to ASUS for supporting Vista on the R2H.
So what about Samsung? We’re suprised that Samsung haven’t released details of any Vista upgrade program yet. Kevin Tofel of JKontherun has been working hard to get it working so we’ll be keeping an eye on his blogs at JKontheRun.
