I’ve just been chatting with Matt Propst about this. We both agree that this is not a device we like. The screen (I talked about it in Dec and then again a few days ago.) is not up to ultra mobile PC standards. Although it might be 4 inches, touch sensitive and transflective there’s only 470 x 270 to play with. Nokia are usually pretty good at preventing leaks but this one just slipped through the net and landed on a CompUSA store shelf. Just like that! The Nokia N800 (interesting that Nokia have but it under the ‘N’ brand) Internet Tablet.

The screen size is the same as the original but there’s a pop-out VGA webcam (rotateable we think. See it on the top left below.)

If the tipster got the images right then we can assume they know about the specs. We really really really hope that they’ve bumped the processing power up. There will be tears otherwise.

Via JKontheRun comes news of a new Sony UX model appearing in an English gadget magazine. Stuff Magazine (Feb 06) shows the Sony VGN-UX1XN. The specs show that it will come delivered with Vista and a include solid state flash drive.
