EeePC 700. pre-orders start. Prices fixed.

Allasus.com have put up their pre-order page for the ASUS EeePC 700 and 701 in America. Prices:

• $260 for an entry-level device, the Eee PC 700, with 2GB flash. Black only.
• $399 for a 4GB version, the EeePC 701 ,with web cam.

Shipping is being quoted as ‘Early October’ for this ‘Internet PC’. Specifications are listed but are ‘subject to change.’ Looking around it appears that other retailers have prices up now too.
