If you click through to the large version of that image you’ll see a big list of all the MIDs that are here at IDF. I haven’t seen all of them yet but in the center of the entrance hall, most of them are displayed. I had a bit of hands on but there’s so much going on here right now it’s difficult to get into any detail. The U2010 is lighter than expected but oh so sweet. Running Vista unfortunately. The Pink WiBrain is a shocker, the Benq […]

With a little hands on in the W hotel with a few Intel reps. The Lennovo U8 is here and looking beautiful. Shame about the UI which disappoints compared to that other UI-focused mobile Internet device but the style is slick, the browser fast and everyone loves it. I`ll be testing the video performance soon. IDF starts for real tomorrow morning and the buzz is high. I`ve seen Wibrain and they have the i1 ultra mobile PC with them. Im really interested in seeing that. More details tommorrow.

Gizmodo shows us lots of purportedly leaked info about the upcoming Dell Inspiron 910 netbook (yes the one that will not include a row of function keys). Swing by the Gizmodo link to see images showing all sides of the 910. Pretty standard as far as netbooks go: 3 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, VGA output, webcam, and a card slot (probably SSD). If the info as right, the unit will go on sale as early as August 22nd. As we can see from Gizmodo’s images, it looks like there will […]

On one hand, I wish I hadn`t started tracking the pricing info for the M528. On the other hand, I think its been important at highlighting customers opinion to the resellers. For example, when the first reseller price was released, the tech blogs and potential customers reacted very negatively. Not surprising at that price! And then, just days ago, the reaction turned positive as Expansys added the M528 to its catalogue at a teasingly good 550 Euros. Today though, I`m wishing that the resellers would get their acts together because […]

130+ comments seems to indicate a serious amount of interest in the Raon Digital Everun Note that we’ve been talking about over the last few days. There are concerns about the battery life and the credibility of the CrystalMark tests and slight disappointment that it doesn’t have a swivel screen but on the whole, people seem to be very interested. I’m guessing a lot of orders for the SC3 just went on hold until independent info becomes available and its probably because of the thought that there might be a […]

Article 1 – Digitimes reports that HP ordered 500,000 VIA C7’s and also placed an order for Nano CPUs. Article 2 – Mobile-ITX is on target for Q4 2008 or Q1 2009. I’m afraid the source trace ends at Digitimes for this story and there’s really not much detail here. The Nano order could be for Notebook PCs or it could be for a new HP2133. It’s anyone’s guess. As for the Mobile-ITX news, it’s just another target date. Sit-back and keep waiting with your fingers crossed!
