This one isn’t going to win any style or processing power competitions but as Jenn says, if it’s offered at a reasonable price, it might find an audience. Its got useful on-frame controls a useable 1.2Ghz VIA processor and Windows XP. Could be a good one for those car PC fans!

I really don’t see how it can reach 3-4hrs use on a 20wh battery but maybe there’s an extended one available that matches the 3-4hr battery life claims.

No…just no. Maybe someone will like this and that’s fine but I just don’t get why so few UMPCs, MIDs, and even netbooks hit the mark. They always end up lacking in some way. They’ll have a nice design but are underpowered. They’ll have good power but a crappy form factor. The form factor will be very good but the battery life is awful. The battery life will be great but the input options are lacking. It could have everything you want but it’s only available in another country and if it will be available in your region, it never actually makes it to market. And if Samsung can announce a netbook now and release it within 2 months, why the %$#% don’t know more about their MID?
P.S.- Chippy, you’re the coolest cat on the scene. Thanks for a great site and sorry for the rant.
Love those rants. I’m in a ranting mood today! Thanks for the +’ve feedback.
probably because they are designed by the economics department, not the engineers/geeks department…
