Since the MID Moves tour couldn’t happen without the Mobile Internet Devices themselves, I thought I’d take a moment to share some photos from an “event” that has become something of a ritual among tech blogs: the unboxing.
Don’t worry if you’ve never heard the term before. It’s exactly what it sounds like and you only need to see one to go from being an unboxing novice to an unboxing expert.
If you’re uneasy about jumping into the ceremony unprepared, the backstory and sequence of events leading to my unboxing is this:
- FedEx delivered a package this afternoon.
- Inside it was a box that contained the BenQ S6, one of the MIDs I’ll be using for the tour.
- Before I opened this box, I grabbed my camera.
What happened next can be seen in my BenQ S6 unboxing gallery on Flickr.
Now that you know how the S6 looks inside and out of its box, find out how it performs and what else it can do when I put it through the theme park wringer next week.
