The first beta of Mozilla’s mobile focused browser was recently released, and provided that it runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, I thought I’d give it a try on my Sony VAIO UX180 [Portal page]. I flipped the unit into portrait mode and recorded a quick demo of the action. I’m pretty impressed so far and I like the interface. They still have some work to do and it will be really interesting to see how good of a web experience you can have on a Linux powered device (like the N810 [Portal page]) with lots of familiar Firefox addons running in conjunction with Fennec. Check out the video below:

Look’s wonderful!
But how to install it on the UX? I downloaded the BETA version for windows but it does’t work.

I just downloaded it, unzipped, and ran it right out of the unzipped folder.
It doesn’t show youtube’s video ,only sound ..
Seems to be working for me.
Works for me, too.
The release notes on the page you linked to say Flash only works on the N810, not on the desktop builds. So I’m guessing that’s what you’re seeing.
Thanks Jason, didn’t catch that one.
Testing on the n810 right now. Obviously you cant magic-up a dose of cppu power on the n810 so its not running anything near what would be regarded as smoothly but there is hope here.
Im using a couple of plugins and enjoying the UI. Will do some testing with javascript pages to see if there are any speed advantages.
