To be honest, the X70 was good value without this special offer but this makes it even more irresistible. The car kit and leather pouch are excellent quality. I haven’t tried the matte filter but as the X70 has a glossy screen I’d say its going to be worth having too.

This is going to be VERY difficult to get now… It is just a matter of time before this deal is posted on Gizmodo or Engadget. Then buying one will be like the lottery for those first 30 minutes. Also, having slow internet is not going to improve my chances.

does anyone know how fast the S5’s sold out during the initial incentive sale? I bet it takes longer than everyone thinks, if i had to guess, id say 15 minutes minimum to 3 hours max.
It took almost 3 hours. I struggled to buy S5 from beginning. However, Server did not respond well. In 3 hours later, Dynamism simply said “SOLD OUT” I really pissed off at that time. I waste for 3 hours from beginning.
Stellar is right. I may take 3+ hours but when the server does not respond fast enough it might as well sell out in 10 minutes so you do not waste your time. I am sure some of you may have similiar experiences if you tried to get a BOG from Woot.com…

Question, what’s that 777 value? Is it 777 for each model or 777 total units? Or is it just the bonus stuff that’s limited to 777 and those who are 778 or higher don’t get all the extras? I rather think it’s the latter, in which case, they have a minimum of 777 units and likely have quite a bit more than that.
I kinda agree with Velik. I don’t think it’s going to be snapped up quite that fast. The $599 minimum is a relatively high barrier of entry considering it’s just an Atom netbook (albeit a very nice slate one).
Still, I’ve already set the alarm on my phone so I don’t forget to buy one. The car kit and extra battery would be particularly useful. :D
I got the viliv s5 just this months. Now next month viliv x70 is there with the same price. it sucks
As much as I love the guys at Viliv – I’m going to whine – All I ever wanted was a S5 Premium Air (32 GB SSD) Version…
So in effect I’ve missed two special releases with all these extra goodies without the option of getting the version I want. (Damn).
I’m actually sitting here contemplating getting an X70 just so that I get a free leather case and extra battery… that can’t be sensible can it?
Actually, its not sensable at all, if you notice on dynamism, you can actually buy the leather case and battery without purchasing the pc and save hundreds… literally, hundreds!

I will try to buy this using uk dynamism website. But I don’t understand one thing. Is this shipped from US? I tried to place something in the shopping cart, and the shipping is almost $50, and it would also mean import tax has to be paid. That would make the cheapest version easy over $700. Or how does it work? Thanks
Will there be a cheap option provided by viliv to update to windows 7 once it is available? I really think that windows 7 would be perfect for this device.
As far as I know there is no upgrade path from XP to Windows 7 so this is unlikely.

To clarify, I *think* there will be upgrade *pricing* from XP to Windows 7 but no upgrade *path* in that you will need to do a clean install rather than an upgrade install. You’d probably want to do a clean install anyway, and the files & settings transfer wizard could be used. See http://tinyurl.com/au7dgo

This is the most idiotic purchase I ever made. I am not a specialist. I bought this thing based stupidly on “independent” blogger reviews. I turned it on and it started a series of automatic updates. After ages it restarted itself and the touchscreen does not work. I am sorry I am not a computer engineer but I can not fix this problem and I should not be required to do so after I spend 1500 dollars for a brick. Viliv sucks and DONT BUY THIS PIECE OF SHIT.

What has you supplier said about this? If it’s broken, there should be no problem returning it.
