As just revealed by our short little poll, many of you really looking forward to the Asus Eee T91 (so are we!). Asus just recently officially announced that the Asus Eee T91 would be released on the 15th and Dynamism says that they are expecting their shipment on the 31st. The first model available will have a slick black casing and will cost $499 from Dynamism. Seems like the T91 will be in high demand and low supply upon initial release, Dynamism recommends pre-ordering quickly if you want in on the first batch.
See the Asus Eee T91 Portal page for full specs, details, and news links.

A new device by Asus in high demand and short supply…wonders never cease
@ Chippy,
looks that they will sell us a good device with some realy bad things in it.
Ok, I can live with a 0.3 M-Pixel-cam, but the battery (28 or 24 Wh which should be good for 5.4 hours, THEY say) is too small and if it´s not rechangeable (as it looks), what shall it be good for?
And I think they will sell us again a realy crappy slow 16 GB-SSD.
I want to have the T91go. But if you have to change half of the device, cause it´s crappy shit, I won´t buy it.
If you tell it Asus now, may be, they will change something of the crap.
Thanks
The point is, will this device do for the user what he/she is looking for? It seems like some people are always searching for the “perfect” device — but I’m hoping that when my T91 gets here it will the fill the bill for what I need: a (relatively inexpensive) lightweight tablet pc to carry around a classroom for on-the-go data recording.

Thumbs down. No GPS. N0 3G. I was looking forward to both. I can add 3g but the GPS is a deal breaker.
The 28.5wh sealed abttery makes it a tough choice now.
With the pre-wired 3G antenna and access port for HDD and memory, the Gigabyte Touchnote is looking slightly better as a touch netbook. At Under 1KG though, the T91 looks slightly more attractive for standard mobile laptop-style computing.
