Full specs, details, news links and more at the Viliv S7 Portal page. Pocketables.net picked up a story that has a nice cache of Viliv S7 photos from Korean site Lazion.com. In addition to the photos there are some impressive battery life figures from a few battery tests. Many sites are talking about how the Eee T91 [Portal page] is the one first tablet netbooks to be released, but the reality is that there have been several before it, and it is really only a first for Asus. Case in point, the Gigabyte TouchNote T1028M [Portal page], which Chippy has spent a good amount of time with, has been around for a while, though it is just now heading for the US. Netbook manufacturers are always searching for ways to subsidise (read ‘hide’) the cost of their products. One of the ways to do this is to use the device as a point-of-sale. Apple do this with their iPhone and iPod touch and the model will appear more and more as time goes on. As you’ll recall, the OQO Model 2+ was shown off at CES 09 where it made a pretty big splash around the web with its OLED screen and Intel Atom CPU. Unfortunately OQO went under before the Model 2+ made it to market. A pre-release model made it way onto Ebay, and the ensuing bids pushed the unit up to $4,500 for the winner. It would be pretty cool to be one of […]

Dynamism seems to have had great success selling the Viliv S5 [Portal page] and X70 [Portal page] devices to a limited number of people who were able to order them right as they were released. Now that the premium models are ready for release, it looks like Dynamism is ready to open the offer up to a lot more individuals. Starting from today (July 16th) through August 5th Dynamism will be offering anyone who orders the X70 or S5 the same nice accessory bundle (worth $135 for the S5, or […]

I’ve just had confirmation that Intel is going to sponsor MIDMoves to cover one of the Mobile Internet highlights of the year. The Intel Developer Forum 2009 in San Franscisco. This is fantastic news. I attended IDF last year under my own steam with UMPCPortal and it turned out to be one of the most important weeks of the year for getting hands on, speaking to the OEMs and finding out exactly what’s going on in Intel with regard to Mobile Internet Devices. This year is going to be even […]
