I had the pleasure of spending about an hour with Bob where he demonstrated the Mobinnova Beam, highlighted an excelent Morgan Stanley mobile internet report and chit-chatted about some of the announcements, successes and challenges that remain for ARM and it’s partners. I’ve been extremely happy with the Mifi 2352 (and the Sprint version I used at CES) We voted it mobile gadget of the year and have previously highlighted it for ease of use and its ability to improve security over open hotspots. You’ll see the iPhone’s photos on the left and the N900 shots on the right. Be sure to click on the […]

Battery life claims are getting out of hand in my opinion so I took the time to write a little ‘warning’ article this morning. You can find it at UMPCPortal. A Warning about ‘Smart’ Device Battery Life. | UMPCPortal – Ultra Mobile Personal Computing.

As we move to active and connected standby scenarios and and extremely wide power ‘envelope’ for connected devices there will be problems in determining the true, real-world battery life of a connected device. This article addresses the issue.
