Jkk sounds really excited to be checking out the upcoming Viliv N5 that was recently announced, saying that he feels confident that this is “the ultra mobile PC that we’ve all been waiting for inch. He has a quality 5 minute video looking around the hardware of the device. Jkk estimates a few weeks until the N5 will be available, but at this point there isn’t anything official about pricing or release dates. He also mentions that there will be an 800×480 low-end version in addition to the 1024×600 model […]

There hasn’t been much that has excited me at CES so far this year, but this Inbrics MIDphone running Android is probably the coolest thing that I’ve seen yet. They are calling it the Inbrics M1 MID for now, but don’t confuse it with the UMID M1 [Portal page]. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a good slider, and this one looks rather sleek and promising. Unfortunately Inbrics doesn’t even seem sure that they’ll release the device at this point, but I’ll definitely have my fingers crossed. Jkk says […]

TechCrunch has revealed that HP is working on a slate device that will run Android. […]

I’ve just come from a meeting with Pixel Qi where I was able to get answers to my remaining questions about the technology and to get a real-world demo and I’ve now got a good idea of where I think Pixel Qi really will fit in. Firstly though, I have to say that I was impressed by the pixel density and contrast in high ambient light situations and immediately I can see that this is something that can be useful in mobile scenarios. There isn’t a standard LCD panel out […]

I had a stroke of luck this morning as I was waiting for Sascha from Netbooknews to do a video of an LG netbook today, I wandered across the booth to look at the smartphones and there it was. The LG GW990 built on Intel’s Moorestown platform. Intel’s first ever phone. (Announced back in Feb) The display included some specifications so I’ve listed those below. Gallery of GW990 at the LG booth At the Intel keynote a few hours later, the GW990 appeared again along with a note from Paul […]
