I wasn’t expecting this at all. Here are some photo’s of the LG GW990, Intel Moorestown-based smartphone. Details so far: 5mp cam 1850mah (single cell I assume) battery HD Video capable A-GPS Compass HSDPA/HSUPA Unfortunately this is behind glass. The Intel keynote is in a few hours. It would be crazy if Intel didn’t show it off.

Our first CES 2010 post of the day is the press release by Spring Designs of their new eInk/LCD combo eBook reading device, The Alex. The device features a 6-inch eInk screen at 600×800 resolution and a 3.5-inch LCD display with a 320×480 resolution. The device weighs in at 310 grams (11 ounces) and 7500 ePage turns and around 6 hours of media playback. I’m looking at this and wondering if Microsoft and HP simply jumping on the wave of tablet hype and trying to break through with some viral marketing. There’s no real information available being given on this tablet so I can only assume it was a marketing move. It looks like a 10 inch tablet with multitouch capacitive screen running Windows 7 and not dissimilar to a device I had hands-on with tonight. It was a long and tough journey out here and wasn’t made any easier by the fact that that mny luggage, with all PCs included, didnt arrive! After a good nights sleep my luggage has finally arrivedwith all my equipment and that means I can start my work here at CES. Vegas is GO! Click to hear a quick update.
