I’ve already seen a Dalvik runtime component on a Moblin build running on a netbook (Canonical were working on it and gave a quick glance at Computex last year) but here’s another clear indicator that there’s interest for running Android applications on the Intel Atom CPU. At the same time as releasing the new Google Buzz feature on Gmail, Google also updated their maps clients to include Buzz features and it’s great to see this level of mobile internet, location, friends and social media integration. I’ve taken a look at it on a couple of smartphone.

While I was at DevMob2010 last week the organisers interviewed me for a video. We talked about some of the sessions at DevMob and the opportunities for developers in the 4-10 inch screen size range.
