Capacitive Multitouch, 3G, Tegra and a nice handheld design is always a good recipe but although this looks like a very capable navigation and media device, it’s not really going to be a high quality mobile internet device. It’s Tegra V1 (ARM11 CPU) running Windows CE OS and Internet Exlorer which will be OK for some basic browsing but not for the full internet experience. JKK talks more about the moov in a recorded live session that we made just a few hours ago. (Via Meetmobility) JKK has mad a […]

Over the last few weeks my interest in Symbian has increased dramatically. Free Ovi maps, improved Ovi store, Buzz on Google maps, Gravity and other programs have me struggling to decide whether a move to Android is the best for me. Today, another client app has hit the floor and once again, I’m impressed by the quality. Skype for Symbian was launched today and includes Voice, IM and SMS features in a tidy and good quality application. I’ve installed the app on my N82 and recorded the process from start […]

We suspect that isn’t the Pierre Cardin brand you know from the fasion world but these 7″ and 8.9″ tablets have an interesting design with a case that includes a rubber keyboard. The devices come with resistive or capacative touchscreen and 3G options. All the usual ports are included and it even looks ok. The gotcha might lie in the CPU though because although the C7-M was good and efficient in 2006, it can be quite the hot/noisy little devil when it gets going. The Amtek T770 is testament to […]

Opera 10.5 has been knocking around in Beta for a while but from today it’s available as a fully released product and ‘The fastest browser on Earth.’ “Opera 10.50 is the fastest browser we have ever produced. Under the hood, we introduced a new JavaScript engine, Carakan, and a new graphics library, Vega. What that means to you: no more waiting around for a site to load. inch Opera also have the ‘turbo’ feature which really helps if you’re on a low-speed connection, the user interface has been tidied up […]

We’ve had one video from Charbax so far and we have to say we’re quite impressed at the price/performance ratio on the newly-announced Archos 7 Home Tablet [Information.] Here’s a new video from JKKMobile that will give you another feel for how the device is looking, feeling and performing. We’ve had a few hands-on sessions with the Hanvon Tablet at IDF and CES and found it to be an interesting device that works smoothly and productively. The 1.6Ghz Menlow platform seemed to provide good performance. There have been hints that there’s a second version though and JKK managed to uncover it today by visiting the Hanvon booth at CeBIT. It’s the BC10C built on the Intel Celeron 1.3Ghz ULV743 CPU, an expensive but powerful CPU. Image via Twitpic The BC10C includes 2GB RAM, 10 inch multitouch capacative screen, 250GB […]

Another day, another Android tablet. JKK spotted this one as he was walking through the partly built booths at CeBIT today. It’s a basic (open source) Android build on the Samsung S3C6410 just like the Smart Q7. As with the Archos 7 Home Tablet we reported on earlier you shouldn’t expect the fastest web experience but if this is priced well (JKK spoke to me earlier and talked of bulk prices below $100) and receives the support and applications that are needed to make it useful, it will certainly serve […]
