We’ve already had an Advent Vega [tracking page] order cancelled due to high demand but its looking increasing like new stock isn’t going to arrive before Christmas. Its no surprise really, at £250 its cheaper than many of the alternatives like the Viewsonic Viewpad 7 (£400) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab (£449) and yet for your money you still get a good specification. With Android 2.2, nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz CPU, WiFi, 512MB RAM, 4GB expandable microSD storage and a multi-touch capacitive 10.1 inch display, its certainly no slouch. […]

People moan about WordPress on Android but for quick blog posts using the Tab, it’s working out well. Where all you need is a pic, a link and some text, I can’t thing of an easier process. Pic via Tab.

My mobile reporting kit will change dramatically for CES 2011. I’ve just heard that ill be able to borrow an N8 to partner with my Galaxy Tab which, considering I’m doing a lot of mobile blogging on the Tab now, gives me the opportunity to try something very different indeed. How about a no-bag challenge? The would mean leaving the Netbook and main camera in the hotel during the day and doing everything on the N8 and Tab. I didn’t expect this to happen but I’ve reached the point where an on-screen keyboards is better than hardware keyboards on my mobile devices. The soft keyboard on the Galaxy Tab is now my fastest mobile text-input device.

Notion Ink, the company behind the forthcoming Adam tablet [tracking page], has divulged lots of info on it’s official blog today about the company’s first device, including pre-order information. Pricing and Availability As mentioned in an earlier post on their blog, Notion Ink has sent out emails to people who have commented on their site in the past, and these people will be able to access pre-orders 6 hours before everyone else. As someone that works extensively in the Web when in the office and as much as is practical when on the go, I’m very interested in the latest Chrome and Chrome OS announcements. I’m still using Firefox on Windows for home and mobile work but the changes announced as part of Chrome 8 have me starting a long-term test. As for Chrome OS, I’m sure it’s not waht mobility users neet. At least in 2011. Let’s start with that…
