Update: As predicted, the Galaxy Tab has already sold out from Woot. Some interesting stats: During the sale, Woot sold one Galaxy Tab every 27 seconds. The first one sold after only 1 minute and 42 seconds of the deal being available. Hat tip to @tnkgrl from Engadget who spotted this Oaktrail tablet running Meego with the tablet UX and Intel Appup app store. it turns out its the ECS S10 Oaktrail tablet that we saw at CeBIT which means it’s an OED product looking for a customer. The age of HDMI is finally upon us. Go to the store and pick up any HDTV and there’s about a 95% change that it’ll have at least one HDMI port. It’s not just TVs either. If you’ve been eyeing the latest iPod Touch, the folks at Woot.com have the 32GB model for $229. This is a refurbished unit, but presumably it’ll work like new. If you go the Woot route, you’ll save $70 (24%) over the price that you’d be paying if you bought one new from Apple, and $45 (17%) if you bought one new from Amazon. Via my report at MeeGoNews. The first of the MeeGo 1.2 core images have gone live in the repository along with an official statement at MeeGo.com. I have the netbook edition running here and i’m doing some testing although it has to be said that at first glance, not much has changed. 1.2 is all about core changes though.
