At IFA next week. Kupa will be showing the Kupa X11, a 10″ Oaktrail (1.5Ghz Atom) based tablet that is said to offer 10 hours of battery life. Always suspicious of battery life claims, I checked out the specs and after seeing the huge 54Wh battery am fairly confident that it could indeed reach 10 hours of light usage. Coming in at exactly the expected price-point, Asus’ Ultrabooks, that’s the UX21 and UX31, will launch in October at a US-based event. This news comes from Digitimes who say that the entry level price will be $899 but the prices will be rising to a lofty $1999. Update: I’ve refined the kit down to 700gm (1.5lb) but I’m struggling to find a no-bag carrying solution. Cargo pants are out for me (not my style) and it’s going to be too warm for a jacket.
