Expected to be available later this month, the Acer Aspire S3 is likely to be one of the lower cost Ultrabooks and if the news from Hong Kong and Finland is anything to go by, one of the first to hit the market.
The Verkkokauppa site, linked below, is showing two of the three expected models. The base Core i5 model with the hybrid, 320GB HDD is €849 and the SSD version at €1149. All specs are as expected so remember that there’s no USB 3.0 on this. I’m also struggling to see how they deliver a Gigabit Ethernet interface as there’s no obvious Ethernet port.
Expect the Acer Aspire S3 to appear is many other sites across Europe over the next few days as retailers scramble to get their SEO-optimised pages in Google search results.
Thanks @morganmobile
NO USB3???
Acer, WTF are you thinking?
do u guys recommend to buy this?
At the moment none of the devices have been fully tested si its difficult to make any recommendations at this stage.
Surely there are ways to build a good looking ultrabook without ripping off the MacBook Air?
