Intel has made live a significant refresh of the Ultrabook section of their website. If it wasn’t already clear from their $300 million Ultrabook fund, Intel is serious about Ultrabooks; the redesign of their site’s Ultrabook section is quite significant next to the old version and reinforces their commitment to the segment. Toshiba has made available their only Windows 8 touchscreen Ultrabook, the Toshiba Satellite U925T. This is a hybrid slider which also goes by the name U920T depending upon the region. Chippy got a great hands on of the U925T back at IDF 2012 in September and the design seems unchanged since then. This is one of a few hybrid Ultrabooks currently shipping with NFC.

MSI appear to have quietly given the MSI S20 slider an airing. We first saw this back in June in a not-too-professional presentation by themselves but despite that it’s been one that has gained quite a bit of interest. Recent news highlighted a target price (yes, the good old non-committal target price!) of $799-$899. Engadget and LesNumeriques have news for us…

…and it’s not cheap! Update: It’s not light either. See product page for size and weight info. As we watched this ASUS Transformer Book video from Liliputing yesterday, we heard some talk about a price and immediately started to write an article while simultaneously contacting Brad Linder at Liliputing for confirmation. He couldn’t give it. Apparently the voice was from another conversation and as there were other devices on the table he couldn’t confirm. We have new information now though. The good news is that the Transformer Book is going […]
