The Verge have published a nice piece about what’s coming to the Ultrabook scene later in 2013. We’ve already reported on the Touchscreen and WiDi requirement (and what it really means) but via an interview with Kirk Skaugen we’re given a few more interesting statements. The biggest of which is a confirmation that Connected Standby is coming.

CES 2013 is all over for another year. We weren’t there but thanks to live streams, press releases and news from other sites we were able to relay all the important news for you and had the time to add a little more analysis that we would have done had we been there. It was spotted at CES last week but Dell’s PR company in Germany have just sent us official information on the new Dell Latitude 10 in ‘basic’ configuration form. It might be ‘basic’ but the accessory range make it appear very flexible. The latitude 10 in ‘standard’ configuration has been around on the Clovertrail platform since late 2012 and comes with a digitizer layer. When the LG Xnote Z350 launched, based on the Z330 before it, LG claimed it was the thinnest Ultrabook. It’s not any more but it’s still in the ‘Wow’ category. The new LG Z360 is the same. Brad Linder of Liliputing went hands-on at CES 2013 and called it “one of the thinnest and lightest Ultrabooks” he’s ever seen.
