Update: Announced at CES2014…yes it does! ASUS are likely to announce a dual-OS dockable tablet tomorrow and it’s going to create quite some discussion about Android / Windows devices. It’s not that we haven’t seen variations on this (for years now) but as it’s CES, it’s ASUS and it’s two hot topics it’s bound to create a stir.

Ah the good old Acer S3. It was one of the first Ultrabooks to hit the market and one that really drove prices down over the 2+ years it’s been available. In June last year Acer announced the new S3 in the S7 style but it’s a little confusing because we’re reading a lot of CES-related news about it now. What’s new? Didn’t it ever reach the market? Oh well, here are the details, possibly again, and a presentation video that MobileGeeks have just posted.

I’ve just finished a full review of the Toshiba Encore WT8 Windows 8.1 Tablet. As expected it’s incredibly efficient, and perfect as a solar-powered PC. You can do everything on this. From web browsing to video editing to Office work with a full keyboard and external monitor.

This is UMPCPortal, the site that’s been covering handheld Windows PCs since 2006 and as you might imagine we’ve been quite excited about the return of the small-form-factor Windows PC. The Acer Iconia W3 piqued our interest earlier in the year but the sector has now been completely re-born through products that combine Intel’s Baytrail platform with Windows 8.1.
