Sony have announced a new Vaio Fit 11A Flip PC with the same convertible screen as on other Flip models. (We reviewed the 14-inch model here. ) There’s a great set of specs and a good price, if you’re prepared to take a small hit on the processor features.
In addition, the new 11-inch model comes bundled with the pressure sensitive VAIO Active Pen. Users will feel inspired with Adobe’s updated pen pressure sensitivity support for Photoshop and Illustrator®, allowing for an even more accurate and natural creative experience.
Update: The digitizer is an N-trig module.
Other feature specifications include a FullHD screen, NFC, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM and a backlit keyboard
The processor is built on Baytrail-M architecture. It’s mainstream and low-cost and while the Pentium N3520 quad-core at 2.16Ghz not a bad processor, it isn’t the same as the Core processors used in the rest of the Sony Vaio Fit Tap range because it doesn’t have some of the features. Lower GPU performance is likely to be the most notable difference but the CPU performance should meet or beat some of the Core Y-Series CPUs and it’s good to see a multimode tablet/laptop with these specifications moving towards mainstream pricing. The VAIO Flip 11 starts from $799 and will be on the list of many that are looking at the Lenovo Yoga 11 S and Yoga 2 11.
Weight is just under 1.3KG / 2.82 pounds which is definitely in the Ultrabook category.

Update: 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD will be offered.

“palm rest” is now a feature in 2014 ;)
Looks great but do wish they blunted some of those sharp edges. Curious about battery life with this Baytrail-M processor.
Really Good Looking, but what about the performance compare to I5 notebook ..? like Yoga 11s …may be….?
Is there silo for the pen?
