Off the top of my head I think this is the lightest 10-inch 2-in-1 PC that I’ve ever seen. The HP Pavilion X2 is a Baytrail-T quad-core tablet with a 1280×800 screen and a 34Wh battery which is going to give you a reasonable battery life. There’s a full-size USB port, MicroHDMI, MicroSD and charging port and the keyboard isn’t bad either. This ultra mobile PC will launch at $330. My tip: A version might be available with 1GB RAM. Avoid that and go for 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Total weight: 800 grams, 1.75 pounds.

Do you have any idea why these Baytrail Atom devices seem to continue to use the 32-bit version of Windows 8.1 rather than the 64-bit version of the OS?
I’d like to know this as well. Actually, I just want to know if these new crop of Bay Trail devices has UEFI firmware that can boot unmodified 64-bit Linux ISOs. Was this question answered during the event?
Yes, I’d like to know if any of these new Bay Trail devices support 64-bit Windows. Yes, I’m asking mainly on how likely Linux can be installed easily but since this is mostly a Windows centric site then asking these OEMs if 64-bit Windows is supported should hopefully be enough for me to look into buying one of these new ultraportables.
Ya. Can Linux be easily installed on any of these? That’ll be the one I’ll buy. The T100 was on my list until I found out about the while 32 bit UEFI issue.
My wife and i ended up being quite satisfied that Albert could complete his survey while using the precious recommendations he grabbed out of the web site. It is now and again perplexing to simply possibly be giving freely facts that many many others have been trying to sell. So we keep in mind we need the website owner to thank for this. The type of illustrations you’ve made, the straightforward web site menu, the relationships you will aid to foster – it’s many great, and it is letting our son and the family believe that this issue is brilliant, and that is particularly important. Thank you for everything!
