I wasn’t expecting this at all. Here are some photo’s of the LG GW990, Intel Moorestown-based smartphone.
Details so far:
- 5mp cam
- 1850mah (single cell I assume) battery
- HD Video capable
- A-GPS
- Compass
- HSDPA/HSUPA
Unfortunately this is behind glass.
The Intel keynote is in a few hours. It would be crazy if Intel didn’t show it off.

One Question:
Can a A-GPS device work as a GPS device, without any internet connection?
(I have a dirt cheap to-go plan and don’t want to spend my minutes with getting A-GPS data off the internet…)
frank
ps: it always seems that every new product that comes out has his strength in different areas but never all the good stuff in one unit…
iirc, yes they can.
the A part is basically just a shortcut when a gps finds itself in a different area then when last used, to shorten initial lockon.

This device is a laught.. they are trying to hype a 4.8″ slab as a “phone”… pathetic.
…Only if you take your point of view.
I would welcome to such a device, functionality similar to a Viliv S5 but with a smaller form factor.(don’t care about Windows OS…)
Cool.
