Would you rather give up your TV or your Internet?

I was just reading VentureBlog (no, I’m not getting funding, I got distracted on a browse-fest from Techmeme.) where David Hornik said he’d rather give up his TV than his Internet.

That’s an easy choice as far as I’m concerned. The TV would go straight away. I’d probably give up the car before I gave up my Internet connection too. Not sure what my wife would say about that but she’s sitting behind me right now updating her blog. Lets ask her….

…she said ‘Car.’

What a Wonderful Wife.

    TV goes, Internet stays.

Get your news online. If you want to see a TV show that badly, rent the season of the a show on DVD when it comes out. Your computer should be able to play that.

Yes, i’m a cynic when it comes to television.

I’ve already made that decision, sort-of; the budget could only stretch to either ADSL or cable, so I chose ADSL. TV comes over the rabbit ears or by DVD.

There’s just so much more you can do with computer and network access… up to and including catching some TV shows.

Hi, you may be interested looking at Megite. It is a techmeme like service but with broader coverage.

Pft; that’s an easy one. The only thing I watch on TV now is hockey; everything else I get through netflix, which I then rip via DVDshrink, convert to *.avi, and watch on either my Tapwave Zodiac or my test model Cowon A2.

Of course, if we got rid of the TV, the kids would kill me . . .
