This is good ultra mobile PC story with a bad ending. Its a story from Chris Pirillo who is probably best described as an Uber-Geek (in a good way of course,) blogger, friend of many other ubergeeks and, as I just found out, the guy who runs Lockergnomes Mobile lifestyle. That’s a blog I’ve been reading for ages. I didn’t realise it was the Chris that Robert Scoble always mentions. Anyway, back to the story. He got married last weekend (congratulations to Chris and Ponzi) and had the idea to spring a geek surprise on his fiancee by producing two TabletKiosk eo UMPCs on which the wedding vows were written. He didn’t quite cover all angles though.
Chris writes in his blog:
Ponzi read her vows – and as she was just about to finish, the ultra mobile PC suspended itself!
Funny. Luckily Chris had the foresight to print a copy of the vows so all was not lost, until later when one of the UMPCs went missing. Having reported the problem Chris now finds himself in the strange situation where they have a suspect identified on tape and its not one of the staff members. That means, Chris might know them.
I get so wound up when I hear of things like this. Who in their right mind would even think about doing such a thing? At a wedding!
Chris, good luck with this saga.
Steve.
