The Mtube is an Internet media player. Not that impressive when you take a first look but when you learn that its built using a PC motherboard it gets a little more interesting. Its running a VIA C7 processor at 1Ghz.

Unfortunately the video doesn’t show the device running but you get a good feel for the amazingly small size of it. Who needs Firefox Mobile when you can just run desktop Firefox?

One thing I’d definitely like to know is which operating system the MTube is using? Something Linux based maybe? With decent drivers that include support for all the video-acceleration inside the chipset?

*I’m having a day-dream and it feels so good*

Its supposed to be Linux based which makes sense as the drivers are available for the graphics co-processors. (Not sure if that would help flash plugin tho.)

    It’s run on Ubuntu 7.0,
