Brazilian manufacturer CCE Info has just launched a 2nd-Gen Ultrabook. It will be running an Ivy Bridge Core i7 CPU and offer a DVD writer in a 20mm package. From the side it looks pretty unique. From the other angles, you might be reminded of another notebook though.
Teased at IDF Brazil yesterday, the CCE Info Ultrabook is just one of a number of locally manufactured red Ultrabooks that will be launching in 2012. Megaware, Positiva Informatica and Semp Toshiba are among them. According to BN Americas, 20 Ultrabooks will hit the Brazilian market with a number being produced locally.
After a little digging we’ve uncovered details on the CCE Info Ultrabook.

I agree. This one is close. But what are we talking about? The thinnest design possible with the lightest materials and a high-contrast keyboard.
Personally I think that because Intel were involved with the design of the MBA there’s a patent stand-off here.

Yes, I find it hard to believe that companies can almost make an identical copy of different models.
I am not surprised about the Chinese Airbook becuase well China follows its own rules lmao.
But isn’t there an international patent or something? If so, Wouldnt Brasil be part of it. I dont see why Apple wouldn’t go to court.
Intel has the original design for the Macbook Air, and they are the one pushing Ultrabooks. So there’s not much Apple can do about it.
I’ll be glad when convertibles are here because then their will be no “MBA copy” comments.
