One of the best Ultrabooks of the 2012/2013 phase was the Samsung ATIV Book 9. It got even better with Haswell and a QHD screen in the following version. It’s a stunning bit of kit that I’ll be testing fully over the next week or two.
In the meantime, enjoy this overview video and feel free to ask questions. Price is currently about $1399 for the 128GB/4GB/QHD/Core i5 version. It’s not cheap and one could argue that for that price you shouldn’t have to carry adaptor cables but despite that, the quality, efficiency and style should fit with a lot of customers.
I own the Series 9 15″, but nowadays, I simply expect a digitizer and a proper tablet mode. This is not provided by the new Ativ Book unfortunately…
Why Samsung did not refresh the 2 Ativ Smart PC that announced last year with Bay Trail and Haswell plus updating the dock keyboard both model with extra battery and backlit?
And where is that hybrid Ativ Q ?
Simple is just an project that will never release in the market.
Samsung epic fail in both cases.
Where’s the 15″ version with keypad???? What’s so hard about making a 15″ ultrabook with haswell and at LEAST 1080p???? Everyone and their mother is making 13″ ultrabooks with 50,000×35,000 displays. Who cares???? Give us a bigger screen so we can use the real estate when we need it.
I can’t wait to see next year’s 8″ ultrabook with 100,000×60,000 rez. I love technology.
