The Toshiba Satellite Click 10 follows in the footsteps of the Click 9, the unique netbook-style 2-in-1 with the big battery life. Like the Click 9 the Click 10 has a battery in both the tablet and keyboard but by keeping the weight down to 1.1 KG Toshiba have created the best battery:KG ratio in the 10-inch dockable tablet market. How’s the rest of this ultramobile PC though?
You’ll find an Atom X5 (Z8300) inside and it’s the reason that Toshiba can offer the Click 10 with 4GB RAM. 32 GB or 64 GB eMMC storage options are available.
In terms of connectivity the Satellite is slightly disappointing with USB 2.0 and micro USB (only) charging. That’s going to mean long, long charging times for the 50 Wh total battery capacity.
The screen has a good resolution but I wasn’t that impressed with the brightness or color balance. We’re talking about a production sample here though so color and brightness tuning can change before it reaches the shelves. I hope the hinge gets some attention too because it fell very sloppy on the model I had in my hands.
I found the keyboard experience OK but the mousepad experience was very poor, at least if you want a physical click. Tap-to-click is the best way to use this touchpad.

I almost bought it, but it is only available with 2GB of RAM. Dangit. All these 2 in 1s always have one thing wrong with them.
