The Acer C270 and Lenovo N20p look similar. They weigh the same and have the same screen size but there’s a lot of difference between the two. The usage scenarios are as far apart as you could possibly get and yet they both do a great job. If you’ve been looking at these Chromebooks and wondering which one you prefer, this video will help.

Apologies. We referenced the C720p in the video but we are reviewing the non-touchscreen C720.
excellent review.
Good short review on these Chromebooks. From what I know about the Acer 720, it is the one which can be “upgraded” with a bigger SSD. It’s a huge advantage vs the Lenovo. I think that a touchscreen on a laptop is useless if the screen doesn’t have a minimum of 300° rotation. But usages are limited too. The biggest main usage is multimedia: that’s a great way to see movies. Type on it for web browsing?? I prefer to have a keyboard, it’s much more faster. So, if I have to change my HP 11 G1 (which is very low… due to Chrome OS not optimized for an ARM CPU architecture), I prefer to invest time and money in the C720. BUT with the W8 cheap laptops to come or available (HP 14 4/500 at less than €250.00 with a perfect design), it’s hard to make a clear choice unless you know what you want.
The C720 can be upgraded, yes but you also raise a question that a lot of people asking. Why not buy a Windows device which offers a wider range of uses and apps. Ease-of-use and security are two points to consider.
