This is a simple demo post that I’m using to create a video demonstration of Photo Blogging using the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
The photo was taken with the Nokia N8, transferred via Bluetooth and posted using the WordPress application on the Tab.
The whole process is quick and clean.
Hey Chippy,
Wow, what a difference a year makes!
Given progress in voice dictation and ARM-based processing power, do you foresee the day when you wont need a netbook?
Cameras in smartphones continue to improve, along with in-camera editing (witness the new Samsung Wave II)…
I would not be surprised if your blog kit for next year’s CES+MWC would consist of a 7″ tablet along with a smartphone and a spare battery or two…
P.S. I find your VGA videos to be perfectly acceptable for the purpose. I’m far more bothered by ambient noise; I use a hands-free bluetooth device in my car to make and receive phone calls; this device does an amazing job at eliminating ambient noise. I’m wondering whether this kind of technology could be applied in your context…
I don’t see the end of putting a bum on a chair and working on a desk so keyboards are likely to stay. I do see that for the mobile work I do though, that a netbook or laptop won’t be needed. It will take about 3-5 years for software to catch up but there’s no doubt in my mind that it will be possible.
