The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S, the smaller version of the currently available 13″ version has now become available to order on Lenovo’s website, with BestBuy also listing it for preorder with expected availability on June 23rd.
The 11.6″ Yoga base version packs the same internals as the 13.3″ version which includes a 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Wifi b/g/n, Intel HD4000 graphics and Bluetooth 4.0. External ports consist of full HDMI, combo headphone/mic jack, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0 and a full SD card slot. The total package weighs in at 3.10 lbs measuring 13.1 x 8.9 x 0.67″ and is rated at providing 6 hours of battery life from its 4 Cell Lithium-Ion battery. A 1.0MP 720p front webcam is also onboard for video calls.
The 11S differs from its larger brother by packing Intel’s Y series Ivy Bridge CPU’s which are available in a choice of Core i3, i5 and i7. The screen is another area where the two models differ, with the 11S offering a screen resolution of 1366×768 compared to the 1600×900 of the Yoga 13.
Prices start at $799 on both Lenovo’s and BestBuy’s sites but the configuration offered by Lenovo at this price comes with a Core i3 processor while the BestBuy version has a Core i5. Lenovo does offer more options on their site which tops out at a Core i7 with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and Windows 8 Pro that costs $1,349 but don’t allow any changes to the preconfigure options. Office Home & Student 2013 is listed among the preinstalled software for all versions with standard Windows 8. The estimated ship date is quoted as more than 4 weeks on Lenovo’s website.
Anyone got any info about the Ivy Bridge Y Series ?
Really disappointing…I was hoping on more for this one…pathetic resolution, no haswell, mediocre internals…really hoping some other ultrabook convertible with haswell is gonna pop up soon ! Why is there no information on upcoming Hashwell machines !
Haswell is coming on market in less than 3 weeks, there must be some new convertibles featuring it !
I don’t expect we’ll see Haswell based Convertibles for a while due to this. Generic Haswell Ultrabooks that is moved straight from last generation designs is what I assume will arrive first. Then you’ll get non-Convertibles but sleeker new designs. Finally, full Convertibles likely in October+ timeframe.
Considering that how designs like Helix, Yoga 11S, Transformer Book, is coming now, the manufacturers won’t be stupid to phase designs out that early.
Also, design cycles mean we may see Helix/Yoga/Transformer book Haswell variants 6+ months from now if anything.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% certain.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I’m no longer sure where you’re getting your information, but good topic. I must spend some time studying more or understanding more. Thank you for fantastic info I was on the lookout for this info for my mission.
