Here’s the MSI FS110 Bluetooth headset and audio adaptor.
Unlike the Jabra BT8010 headset that Thoughtfix presented a while back, this one contains no earpieces and no local dialing capability. Its a simple adaptor that contains a mic and can support the Bluetooth stereo headphone profile and headset profile. The idea is that you plug your own headphones in or, as in my case, plug it into the home hifi or a line-in jack in your car (or even cassette adaptor.) Its a flexible solution.

As you see in the video, it works really nicely. I’m impressed. There’s a faint click between track changes but the quality of the audio is great. I’m actually having a little trouble getting the Bluesoleil software on the Everun to pair up to the standard headset profile properly so at the moment it can’t be used for Skype calls although the Bluesoleil software is designed for this and the MSI 7110 is for sale on the BlueSoleil website! It could be an interference problem with the 3.6mbps HSDPA kit I installed last night (more about that later this week.) but i’ll have to look further into it to find out whats going on there. It works fine on my mobile phone though and the mic seems to work really well. I’m not sure what the battery life is (single AAA battery is quoted as 7 hours play time)
The best part was that it cost me just 26 Euro which is an absolute bargain. I’m really thinking of getting another one to leave connected to the Hi-Fi at home.
