Lenovo Thinkpad 8 Specifications and information

Lenovo Thinkpad 8 alternatives

Information from 06 Jan 2014.

The Lenovo Thinkpad 8 (upgradeable to Windows 10) uses the high-end Baytrail-T platform from 2014 and takes the specs to the max possible. FullHD screen and 128GB SSD is more than you'll find on the consumer Baytrail-T products and, even in 2018 and 2019, allow the tablet to remain usable. Windows 10 upgrade is no problem at all.

Also available with 3G/4G. Up to 128GB storage. Latest models have 4GB RAM option and Z3795 CPU.
The tablet performs well but you'll notice the slightly lower battery life than in many modern tablets. In our opinion, the Thinkpad 8 refresh models with Z3770, 4GB RAM, LTE and 128GB were one of the best UMPC products ever produced.

As you may expect this iteration of the Air is thinner and lighter than it's forebear. The enhanced retina display has taken previous iPad displays of three layers and eliminated the gaps hopefully giving more vivid colours and less internal reflection. The performance of the 64 bit A8X cpu that comes with an M8 motion coprocessor provides up to 40% improvement according to Apple. Security is from the fingerprint identity sensor built into the Home button, Apple call this Touch ID. The front camera is 1.2MP and the rear iSight 8MP, the wifi is 802.11 ac which theoretically give up to 866 Mbps.
