Samsung Q1P-SSD alternatives
Toshiba Libretto W100 (W105-L251 PLW10U-00201V ), 7.0 inch, 699 grams (1.54 lbs)
A new and interesting design from Toshiba. Dual capacitative touchscreens and some well-integrated keyboard software make this a very interesting choice in the UMPC sector. Heat could be a problem and battery life with the small battery down to 2hrs. High-performance CPU should drive Windows 7 touch and muti-touch features well. Premium price.

Samsung Q1EX, 7.0 inch, 648 grams (1.43 lbs)
Archos 7 (320GB), 7.0 inch, 640 grams (1.41 lbs)

Gigabyte M700, 7.0 inch, 650 grams (1.43 lbs)
ASUS R70a, 7.0 inch, 730 grams (1.61 lbs)
With an estimated 4 hours battery life this will make a nice upgrade from the R2E model.
Samsung Q1 Ultra Premium, 7.0 inch, 800 grams (1.76 lbs)
1024x600 on a 7" screen is great for handheld use. The mouse is a little dissapointing (its not a synaptics pointer but more of a basic joystick) and the keyboard will take a lot of work to get used to.
With the 1.3Ghz processor and Windows XP tablet edition this should be one of the most powerful UMPCs available.
Ubiquio 711 (711), 7.0 inch, 850 grams (1.87 lbs)
This is a good solid performer. 1.2Ghz CPU is fast enough to drive Vista. SD card slot, good build quality with high quality buttons and synaptics mouse pointer. Price is competitive. Slightly poor battery life of 2-2.25 hours must be considered before purchase though.
Ubiquio 702 (702), 7.0 inch, 910 grams (2.01 lbs)
We've tested a version of this device and found it to be a solid performer. We didnt find it pretty in white so our recommendation is to go for the black. Screen quality is good and the mouse pointer is very intuitive.
