As this is coming from Google it ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Beans. It does have some nice features like NFC and GPS. The battery is 4325mAh big and should power the device up to 8 hours of active use.

The Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet is a 7" 1GHz dual-core Tablet with a resolution of 1024x600. It comes either with 8 or 16GB of Storage and 512MB RAM for the 8GB Version or 1024MB RAM for the 16GB Version. The Device itself comes with a Barnes & Noble Store and has no Google Play Store access. However its low price and the possibility to get the Google Play Store on the device with a little effort makes the Device quite compelling.

The price point of only 99$ could be a real selling point for many people.
