Just announced at IFA. The Toshiba W30DT, a 2-in-1 ‘Home’ Tablet with docking station. Interesting is that this one is running on AMD A4.
I thought we’d be getting a Toshiba U920T Slider Touchscreen Windows 8 Ultrabook through the post this week but I was wrong. It wasn’t until the video unboxing that I found out it was actually the ‘budget’ Toshiba Satellite U940 (U945 in the USA.) I’ve left the out-take in the overview video below. What we’ve ended up with is more than just a surprise, it’s a surprise pleasure because after only half a day of testing it’s clear that this is a well balanced Ultrabook with a few almost unique and very usable features.

Toshiba has made available their only Windows 8 touchscreen Ultrabook, the Toshiba Satellite U925T. This is a hybrid slider which also goes by the name U920T depending upon the region. Chippy got a great hands on of the U925T back at IDF 2012 in September and the design seems unchanged since then. This is one of a few hybrid Ultrabooks currently shipping with NFC.
Toshiba Europe were kind enough to give us some time with their new Windows 8 Ultrabooks. You may have read about the new models here on Ultrabooknews but this time we’ve had the chance to get hands-on. The Toshiba Satellite U840 is the entry-level Windows 8 Ultrabook and the Satellite U920t the high-end slider + touch convertible.
